Assam Joint Secretary Bribe Case: KK Sharma, a bribery
Joint Secretary of the Government of Assam, has been arrested in a bribery
case, but when a raid was conducted at KK Sharma's residence, a shocking
revelation came to light. Unaccounted cash worth Rs 49.247 lakh was recovered
during the search of the officer's residence, which has been confiscated.
The entire operation was carried out by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Directorate of Assam Police. The accused KK Sharma, Joint Secretary, Government of Assam, has been arrested. According to the information, KK Sharma has been caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 90,000 from a complainant for renewal of security firm license. After which, when the Vigilance team searched his house, unaccounted cash worth Rs 49.247 lakh was confiscated.
