The complaint states that the woman was cutting grass in her maize field when two policemen came there and those two policemen alternately raped her and kicked her in her private parts, leading to excessive bleeding. Police officials said that the woman's family did not immediately contact the police and she was rushed to the hospital seeing serious injuries. He was earlier admitted to the Lohardaga Sadar (District) Hospital before being referred to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)RIMS Deputy Medical Superintendent Sailesh Tripathi said that the condition of the victim woman is now stable and all possible treatment is being given to her. A Medical Board has been constituted to monitor the matter and provide treatment accordingly. Navita Mahto, in-charge of Kshetra Mahila Police Station, said that the family contacted her on Wednesday, following which a complaint was lodged. He said that the medical examination of the woman has confirmed rape. Two accused policemen have been arrested. Ranchi Range DIG Anish Gupta said the accused policemen have been identified as Krishan Kant Tiwari and Ajay Bara and both of them were arrested on Thursday after the allegation was confirmed. Strictest departmental action will be taken against both the accused and they are likely to be dismissed from service.
