In a major crackdown by the police in Assam, a huge quantity of narcotics has been seized. The cost of which is said to be around 50 crores. On the other hand, while giving information in this matter, the police said that on the basis of secret information on Sunday, two cars coming from Aizawl to Silchar were stopped on Saturday night, in which drugs were seized after searching.Also Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta said that drugs worth Rs 50 crore have been seized from Cachar district and five people have been arrested in this case. He said that in two vehicles, we have seized two lakh tablets of Yaba coming from Myanmar via Mizoram. Their market value will be around Rs 50 crore.
He said that this is a big interstate gang. Our operation is on and we hope that other culprits involved in smuggling will be arrested soon.
